What are the benefits of a single contract home, commonly known as “Ready Built Home”?

A ready build home is where there is a single contract and you only pay a 5% deposit, and the remainder gets paid on completion. The benefit of this type of purchase is that it gives you more time organising funding while the home is being built.

What are the benefits of a home and land package with two contracts?

This is where there are two contracts. One with the builder for the building and one with the developer for the land. The benefit is that you are only required to pay stamp duty tax for the land contract saving you thousands of dollars.

Can I make a change to my plan?

This all depends on the type of package:

House & Land with two contracts, usually have 3 - 4 floorplan options priced on the block. With customers being able to select a design suitable to their requirements and budget. Plus the option to upgrade your homes internal fixtures and fittings i.e. tiles, tapware, lighting and more. With an appointment in the Everyday Design Hub.

Ready Built Homes with single contracts are approved for construction and have usually had everything ordered at time of construction start. While it is not possible to make any structural changes. There may be an option to make some internal selections in the Design Hub, depending on what stage of construction the home is at.

What is BASIX?

BASIX stands for ‘Building and Sustainability Index’ – it’s a NSW energy efficiency rating scheme. When a new home is built, each new build within NSW has to meet the minimum requirements of energy efficiency set out by BASIX in order to be built. All our fixed price home and land packages have included at no extra cost the appropriate compliance requirements to lower household energy, water use which in turn will increase the wellbeing of the home occupants.

How long will the building approval and construction process take?

It normally takes 12 weeks to draw the plans and obtain the building approval. We will need to wait until the land is transferred in your name before we are able to apply for the building approval. The construction process normally takes 30 weeks for a single storey home and 36 weeks for a double storey home.

Who looks after building approvals?

Everyday Homes will take care of all the building approvals and applications on your behalf.

Do you build granny flats?

Yes. Everyday Homes offer a range of attached and detached granny flat packages on our land.

Will there be any extra charges during the building process?

The requirements for your individual block of land are already taken into consideration by Everyday Homes so there will be no additional site costs.

What is the $500 non-refundable reservation fee for?

The fee goes towards administrative costs for Everyday Homes to prepare contracts.
