RICHARD GRAY

Founding Director Everyday Homes

So it all started over 40 years ago...

Everyday Homes is an Australian family business, that was established in 1981. The founding director was already building new homes, so the journey actually began over 40 years ago.

The early business model was based on building fixed price home and land packages on the mid north coast of NSW. Everyday Homes were pioneers in the house and land market during this period. Shortly after, Everyday Homes began contract building on clients’ own land. Everyday Homes then built it’s very first display home. It was simple in design, but the concept of exhibiting a home with quality and affordability in mind still remains today. Display Homes have come a long way since the first display homes were built in the early 80’s. Now all homes feature the latest inclusions to suit any budget and lifestyle.

Every home that is built on a client’s own block of land (a “MY HOME”) is specifically designed and built to your individual requirements, so that no two homes are the same. With Everyday Homes, a custom designed home is within reach with our extensive buying power and strong relationships with trusted partners.

Whether it is custom detailed joinery work, designer bathrooms, innovative construction methods, or a custom design, at Everyday Homes, we thrive even on the most challenging building projects.

As a multi-award winning home builder, we have nearly 40 years experience building homes to suit all different lifestyles, whether it is your first home, or you are upgrading to an architecturally designed home, looking to invest with dual-occupancy, even homes on acerage.

WE ARE HERE FOR YOU EVERY STEP OF THE WAY…

While the foundation of a home is made of concrete and steel, the true foundation of Everyday Homes is its people.

From designers, tradespeople to project managers, each person involved adds a little piece of themselves to the project, so it’s important that you have confidence in who these people are. It’s Everyday Homes core values of respect, commitment, innovation and pride, along with solid staff retention which ensures their customers are treated to the best and most experienced industry people.

At most home building companies, you deal with a sales person who may not have had real building experience. At Everyday, they do not employ sales people, but instead, professional building designers who will ensure that you end up with exactly what you require. Each client undertakes a consultation with one of their professionals, at no cost, so that there is a clear understanding of the specific requirements. This will rule our rushed decisions, which may have resulted in the wrong design or inclusions. The client is cared for by this person up until the building plans are ready for approval, which ensures clear and accurate communication during the planning stage.

At Everyday Homes, managers are employees who are industry leaders due to their experience and knowledge. All have completed the highest level of industry training, therefore the allocated project manager will address all aspects of the build process with professionalism and efficiency.

1970s

Functional &
Practical

The original focus for Everyday Homes (before we were Everyday Homes) was providing Home & Land packages in the mid-north coast of NSW.

1980s

Different &
Innovative

The name Everyday Homes was established in 1981 and its first black, white and red logo was created. While the previous trend of functional and practical living had dominated the 70’s, the 80’s saw a shift of focus to designs being different and innovative.

1990s

Efficient &
Greener

Once being different and innovative had successfully been achieved, the 90’s changed direction and home design became more about being ‘green’. Energy efficiency was the biggest driver behind this movement, and Everyday Homes could see its importance and adapted accordingly with the introduction of their high-quality Greenstyle Home Designs.

2000s

Quality &
Value

During early 2000 with the help and support of the Government Grants, the largest land boom in Australia was recorded. In 2010 Everyday Homes was taken over and given a fresh new modern look to keep up with the evolving market, whilst maintaining the original focus on quality and affordability.

Today

Integrity &
Success

With over 35 years in the industry Everyday Homes still employs its original founder who adds to the well-known integrity and success of the business. With numerous recent State and National awards, Everyday Homes continues to achieve an outstanding and honourable reputation.
